Description

Australian National University  can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.

Australian National University awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs.

Eligibility

The Award is available each year to a continuing ANU student who: 

  • is a domestic or international student; and
  • has completed at least 96 units and is enrolled in an undergraduate program in at least the third year of the program at the ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics; and
  • identifies as a woman; and
  • has demonstrated a commitment to socio-technical issues through mentoring female students in their early years at the College, by encouraging young women in their final years at school to consider an engineering degree, or through a focus (e.g. in their final thesis) on developing or applying appropriate technologies for developing economies.

Examples of evidence of a "demonstrated a commitment to socio-technical issues through mentoring female students in their early years at the College" could be but not limited to:

  • Executive committee member or student representative: IEEE student rep, Course rep, CECC student ambassador, executive member ANUESA
  • Active involvement in student/university sponsored projects: Fifty/50, RoboGirls, ANU+, Maker-Space mentor, EWB, Humanitarian Engineering, Solar Racing Challenge etc.
  • Active community involvement: volunteer with women’s rights, charitable or environmental organisations; sports umpiring or coaching; Women in STEM outreach etc.
