Description
Michigan State University has hundreds of scholarship opportunities available. Opportunities can be a combination of general scholarships (open to all students) and departmental scholarships (restricted to students within a specific major or field of study). Scholarships may be recommended to you at different times throughout the year as applications become available, so we suggest visiting MSU Scholarships often. Please keep in mind this section lists scholarships available regardless if you are eligible or not.

Eligibility
- All students who are entering their freshman or sophomore year at MSU and who are eligible to participate in federal need-based financial aid programs will be considered for Scholarships. Initial Scholarship awards may be made only to such students.
- Scholarships will be renewable until the recipient’s graduation, no matter what major or college the recipient chooses, provided that the recipient continues in good standing. The recipient must also remain eligible to participate in federal need-based financial aid programs.
