Description

UQ Ramsay Undergraduate Scholarships are available to commencing students each year to study Western Civilisation in either the: Bachelor of Advanced Humanities (Honours) or Bachelor of Humanities / Bachelor of Laws (Honours).

Benefits

From 2026, the value of the UQ Ramsay Undergraduate Scholarship is up to $20,000 each year for the first three years of the program.

Applicants from an Australian state or territory other than Queensland, or from a non-metropolitan region of Queensland may be offered an additional $12,000 per year that the Scholarship is held to assist with relocation and ongoing living expenses.

Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are enrolled in either the Bachelor of Advanced Humanities (Honours) with an extended major in Western Civilisation or the Bachelor of Humanities/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) with an extended major in Western Civilisation
  • are an Australian Citizen or Australian permanent resident 
  • have successfully completed the courses with the course code WCIV1000 and WCIV1100 as a full-time student 
  • will be available to participate in an interview with the selection committee on a date set by the University.

a statement addressing the selection criteria within the application form – you must respond to three questions based on academic ability, community service and compatibility with the program of study (up to 2000 characters per question)

a statement addressing any disadvantage (if applicable)

appropriate supporting evidence.
