Description

Two scholarships are available to students entering stage 1 on the Dental Surgery BDS degree programme in the School of Dental Sciences.

Benefits

Alumni and friends of Newcastle University, in memory of Emeritus Professor Jimmy Steele CBE. He was a much loved Head of School and Professor and if he was still alive, students would have had a taste of his distinctive and entertaining teaching style. Since his death from a brain tumour in 2017, Newcastle University along with Jimmy’s family and friends have been raising money to help students who might have financial stress in accessing a degree. The hope is that the support will go a little way to smoothing a pathway to becoming a great dentist!
