Universities in Harbin
Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) was founded in 1920. From its beginning, HIT has received preferential support from the central government. In 1954, the Ministry of Higher Education designated, for the first time, six national key universities.
Harbin Engineering University (HEU) sits at the scenic Songhua River in the ice city of Harbin in Northeast China. Subordinate to the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, HEU is a national key university of glorious history and fine traditions.
