Law
The Faculty of Law at The University of the West Indies (UWI) was established in 1970, introducing the flagship Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme based on the English common law model—now thoughtfully indigenized to suit the Caribbean context. While the full programme began at the Cave Hill Campus, first-year teaching at the St. Augustine Campus began in October 1970.
