About

History

The University of Hull was founded in 1927 – originally as University College Hull. The foundation stone was laid the following year by the Duke of York (later King George VI, of The King's Speech fame) and we opened for business with 39 students and 14 ‘one-man’ departments. 

Education

Westfield Court is the newest and most exciting development on campus specifically designed for student life. With contemporary living and social spaces and a wide range of accommodation options, it has everything you need to complete your student experience.

Library services

The University of Hull provides access to a wide range of electronic resources helping you to trace books and articles, track down internet resources and view the full text of journal articles from your own device. Most of the resources can be found in, and accessed from the Library Catalogue. The Library Catalogue also includes many valuable resources which remain in printed form only.  

ICT services

The Service Desk is your first point of call for all University ICT queries. They provide friendly and helpful support and advice on ICT account access, printing and scanning, connecting to WiFi, accessing email, software provision, file storage, remote working and information security.

Sports facilities

Hull is enhancing the sports facilities as part of a £200-million investment into the campus. The development includes an eight-court sports hall, 110-station fitness suite, floodlit pitch and pitchside changing rooms.

The facilities aren't restricted to students and staff; they're open to everyone. Whether you’re looking for serious training or recreation, fitness classes or sports clubs, we've got something for all abilities and levels of fitness.

A very good university for anyone wanting to study languages, the lecturers are supportive, the material learnt is very useful for future use and overall has a good friendly atmosphere on campus.

It was something i usually dream to have in my education life, the one that gave me practical experience, to be independent and brave. The modules which my course covered like Cross cultural management , International Business etc. are all interesting and intended me with innovative ideas. It is not so easy for people to get what they desired , but this period of my life...

fantastic lecturers, full help and support to enable me to complete the course, (had to inter-collate one year and retake a year due to personal circumstances) can't praise them highly enough :)
