Leuphana University of Lüneburg understands its role as theme-oriented university dedicated to the current research issues affecting the civil society of the 21st century. In order to facilitate necessary subject-overarching research, Leuphana’s research activities are installed within four university-wide, inter- and cross-disciplinary “Research Initiatives”, namely: education, culture, management and business activity, and sustainability. Each of Leuphana’s four faculties directs one of the knowledge initiatives.
