ESSCA School of Management creates knowledge and develops responsible managers and entrepreneurs, while fully considering the human, ethical and economic dimensions of organizations in a multicultural environment driven by technology and social innovations. This is achieved through high level academic and professional management programmes, developed by research-active faculty, a strong student mentoring system and respect for the traditional humanist values on which the school was founded.
At ESSCA, research serves the school’s stakeholders. It enriches the respective academic communities’ scientific debates in which the school’s faculty participate. It serves students by feeding into teaching. It is useful for the corporate world, by providing them with concrete solutions to their issues and by enlightening trends in the phenomena studied. It benefits society in general by looking beyond the traditional academic fields and sharing hypotheses and results.Over the past few years, ESSCA’s research production has been structured around several research groups whose works are part and parcel of a multi-year scientific project aiming to develop distinctive expertise: The “Digital Organisations” Group, The “Entrepreneurship, Business Models, Innovation” Group, The “Finance and Risk Management” Group, Institute Family Business, And the “EU-Asia Institute.”

ESSCA is highly committed to the development of its participation in associations. This participation provides an enriching experience, highly complementary to studies: project management, solidarity, team work, learning to manage responsibilities and, very simply, the pleasure of working together and being useful. Participating in associations gives students the opportunity to put internal democracy into practice: consensus building and debates within the school allow our students to become active, responsible players in society.Student associations are currently available in the French alma mater but students from other ESSCA campuses are also welcome to join.
