IADT as we now know it came into being in 2012, when three existing Schools were amalgamated to become two Faculties: the Faculty of Enterprise + Humanities, and the Faculty of Film, Art + Creative Technologies. However, our unique story is deeply rooted in the area and dates back well over fifty years!
From full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to accredited part time courses, IADT has earned the reputation as Ireland’s leading creative cultural and technological institute by consistently providing innovative, practical and relevant courses.
Cutting-edge research significantly enhances the creative and entrepreneurial environment at IADT. We work with diverse stakeholders and collaborators in the public and private sectors, at local, national and global level. IADT engages in scholarly, applied and practice-based research.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2021. Universities with a score above 4.0 (out of 5) in any of the 8 award categories, receive Badges of Excellence. Congratulations!
IADT Library offers a wide range of seamless, high-quality integrated information services. We are committed to supporting students, researchers and staff on their journey of learning, teaching and discovery. Drop by and see what we have to offer.
A comprehensive medical and nursing service is open to all full-time registered students. A Doctor is available on a part-time basis and a Nurse is available 5 days per week during the academic year. The service is envisaged as an addition to the student's own family doctor or specialist medical service.

I now have returned to college to study a MA Level 9 Art and Research programme with the objective to gain more credits in order...
Really small and cozy campus, lecturers are lovely and easy to talk to. Classes themselves are lacking a bit in structure but staff takes complaints seriously and does its best to change what's not going well. Access to editing software necessary to do work outside of campus would be great. A lot of fun when you're surrounded by like-minded people.
