What is the International Student Centre?
It acts as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for queries that international students face during their study such as study skills, welfare, and visa issues. You will notice that we are part of your entire student journey, starting with the free pick-up service from the airport, induction, social events, extra-curricular opportunities, and support before you leave university.
High Peak Halls has 291 student rooms and is right in the centre of Buxton. Most first year students live in halls, they're just a short walk from the Buxton campus and a great place to make friends. They offer you safe, good value accommodation with other students.Room types
At High Peak Halls you will share a flat with up to 7 other people. All the rooms are en suite. We also provide adapted rooms for people with disabilities.
All rooms have a bed, desk, bookshelves, phone, wardrobe, and curtains.
Our en suite rooms have everything a standard room has except instead of a wash basin, some of the floor space is taken up with a white triangular en suite room in the corner which has a shower toilet and small sink.
We provide access to library resources (print and online), information technology and study space to support you in your studies. Help and advice is available throughout the year from our friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We're open over 65 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, in term time.
