As a part of the A_LAB, we give students unbeatable opportunities to sample careers, explore areas of interest, build resumes, and develop professional networks that you’ll rely on throughout your career
With 98% of our graduating class participating in the survey, we know approximately 85.5% of the class is employed or in graduate school. (62.24% employed, 23.5% is enrolled in graduate school).
We’re all working together to build a close-knit community of quirky, kind, and talented individuals with a million different interests. Residence life is a huge part of that experience, so all students live on campus for three years, and some choose to stay until they graduate.
All seven residence halls are designed with student comfort in mind. You can count on having a cozy place to study, socialize, and sleep. (Or do a load of laundry, for free. Or gather in the game room. Or get together with a study group. Or…)
Campus Store - You’ll find a lot more than books in our campus store! Grab a snack, school supplies, gift cards, Oglethorpe spirit wear and more!
Every residence hall room, faculty office, and appropriate staff office has a connection to the Oglethorpe computer network and, through that intranet, to the greater world of the internet with all its resources. Access is also available to students through computers located in the Philip Weltner Library, the Turner Lynch Campus Center, and in Goslin Hall.
Oglethorpe University requires all students to have insurance coverage. Students may be covered under a family policy or a private carrier, and insurance coverage must continue as long as the student is enrolled.
Our heath care partner is SmartCare Urgent Care, located right next to our campus on Peachtree Rd.
Oglethorpe’s campus is private and enclosed, with secured access for faculty, students, and staff. Residence halls require keycard access, so only approved visitors can enter.
The campus is monitored 24/7 by our campus safety officers. If you ever need help, just ask one of them. They’ll be happy to escort you across campus at night or locate a lost item.
Surrounding the campus is Brookhaven, a safe, family-friendly neighborhood and desirable Atlanta suburb. The local police department works hand-in-hand with the campus safety team to ensure that students can feel safe any time of day or night.
Your college experience is so much more than what you learn in the classroom. Get engaged and learn to lead with Student Activities, Greek Life, Orientation, Campus Recreation and much more!
