Services

Housing services

Traditional Residence Halls: Offering the best opportunity for new students to make friends and be involved in the community on campus, these are where most students live. Typically, two roommates share a room, with a common bathroom located on each floor.

Suite-style: Offering a little more privacy, these are available to all students. Each suite has shared a bathroom and either a shared bedroom or 2 private bedrooms.

Apartments: Offering apartment style living space, these are typically chosen by returning students. A variety of layouts are available providing bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, a kitchen, and a living room.

Library services

The LHU Libraries, guided by an emphasis on information literacy and lifelong learning, will support the scholarly inquiry and creative activity of Lock Haven's campuses and communities. LHU Libraries will focus their efforts on advancing student engagement and student learning.

ICT services

The Department of Technology Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining all core infrastructure such as servers (such as web, email, file and print servers), network and telecommunications equipment and services.

The Office of Institutional Systems and Reporting manages administrative and academic information systems and several other ancillary information systems.

Medical services

Glennon Health Services provides medical evaluation and treatment to students that are enrolled at the university. Walk-in service is provided during posted hours of operation. We make every effort to provide professional care that encourages, educates, and assists our students in developing a healthy lifestyle.

Student Life

Campus life

LHU main campus is located on the west branch of the Susquehanna River in the scenic mountains of Pennsylvania. Just minutes off of I-80, campus is nestled in the historic town of Lock Haven, where tree-lined streets and beautiful Victorian homes border campus, and restaurants and shops are just a few blocks away.

LHU's branch campus, Clearfield campus is located between exits 120 and 123 off of I-80 in the beautiful town of Clearfield, Pa.

Sports facilities

LHU’s Student Recreation Center is the perfect place to get fit and let off steam. Whether you’re looking for the structure of a fitness class, a place to gather with friends and play racquetball, or the challenge of a climbing wall, the SRC has all you need and more.

Participating in intramural sports are another great way to stay active and have fun with your friends. The SRC hosts 12 intramural sports teams including basketball, volleyball, soccer, dodgeball and more. The 42,000 square foot facility houses 3 multipurpose courts, 3 racquetball courts, dance/aerobics room, elevated indoor running track, 5 cardio bays, weight room, and a 30’ climbing wall.

Student clubs

Your goal here is to learn. While you’ll do a lot of that in class, there are also tons of important things you can learn from participating in clubs and activities. Wherever your interests lie LHU has a club to fit. From fashion, poetry, pre-med, and fitness to competitive sports, the outdoors, gender and women’s issues, government and policy, technology, community outreach, and spiritual and faith-based groups, the options abound. In fact, LHU has over 100 clubs and organizations with members just waiting for you to get involved.
