The Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) was founded in 1968 by the Government of Quebec. With more than 15,000 graduates, it has been the leading Canadian centre for specialized tourism, hospitality, food service and sommelier training for nearly 50 years.
Over 20 specialized and enriched study programs developed to industry standards, more than half of which are in a work-study format to provide as much practical experience as possible.
The ITHQ includes a gastronomy research centre with a food chemistry laboratory.

As an international student, you must be covered by health and hospital insurance for the duration of your studies. This insurance must provide coverage in Quebec and any other country where you may do an internship. If you do not have sufficient insurance, you will need to join the ITHQ group insurance plan for international students.
