Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Lahti UAS) is currently building a brand new campus. The new NiemiCampus is being developed in the Niemi district of the city of Lahti, where a unique factory building is being transformed into a modern learning environment. Lahti UAS is aiming to centralise all its learning and research functions into the NiemiCampus by 2018.
We offer large variety of sport and fitness facilities with gym, over 40 hours of group exercise classes and 10 hours of ball games.
LAMKO is the student union of Lahti University of Applied Sciences.Every student of Lahti UAS, including the exchange students, can join as a member to LAMKO. As a member you get many discounts and benefits in the Lahti area and also nationwide. For example you can get 45-55 % discount of tickets in trains or long-distance buses. You can also get discount in some shops, cafés, restaurants, hotels etc.
It provides me the best environment for getting familiar with group works and pressure. Moreover, my softskills are also improved thanks to practical classes that are included in my programme. Finally yet importantly, I have been having great culture experiences with my international friends who are from different countries, from Asia, Africa, America to Europe.
