Pearson College London was founded in 2012 by Pearson Plc; as a not-for-profit Higher Education Institution, we offer a different approach to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through close integration of academia, industry and our learners.
It’s rare and exciting to have the opportunity to build a new higher education institution, finding innovative approaches to advancing the student experience through technology, collaboration and workplace practice. Academic excellence and professional relevance underpin everything that we do here – none of our programmes are just degrees. All staff are fully involved in this pioneering journey.
Our academics are primarily tuition focused but many have a passion for research and regularly undertake research projects in collaboration with external organisations, established universities as well as our own students. This year alone our faculty have presented alongside current and ex-students at academic conferences in Russia, Madeira and the USA. Our staff are currently researching subjects relating to their area of business specialism e.g. strategic and digital marketing, while others pursue educational research e.g. degree apprenticeships.
Our students are enterprising and entrepreneurial. They get to work with our in-house business incubator The Access Platform (TAP), and many have set up their own companies too, like Kickpush and Yaantu and even social enterprises like Once Upon a Doug.
Our alumni have gone on to work for brands such as Nestle, Sainsbury’s, Microsoft, Dyson, Not on the High Street, the BBC, Wincanton and General Mills.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2019. By rating institutions on a scale from 1 to 5, on multiple studies-related questions, we found the top educators in the world.
