Our focus is also on equipping our graduates with the knowledge, skills and experience to help them succeed regardless of career path. Whatever your level of study we have something for you:
- at undergraduate level we have a wide range of BSc and BA degrees, plus groundbreaking four-year undergraduate Masters courses with a year abroad
- at postgraduate taught level we offer the widest range of one-year vocational Masters courses in our subject area in the UK
- at postgraduate research level can choose from a wide range of exciting projects, addressing the latest issues in research, conducted in a supportive ‘research group’ atmosphere.
Research
The School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds is a major international powerhouse for environmental research that has wide-ranging and positive impacts on the world that we live in.
Our research is carried out within five institutes which represent our core research areas, but much of our work is cross-cutting, tackling complex global challenges such as climate change, energy security and natural hazard management.

Being a student at university is about making the most of all the opportunities available to you. Not only will this help you settle in to university life and feel part the School community but also enhance your student experience through the skills and knowledge that you will gain.
