Student services
Our International Office is the contact point for everybody who is seeking information on KLU's exchange programs. We maintain a network with our partner universities and whether you are a KLU student, an incoming student from our partner network or a free mover, we have all the details you’ll require for your semester abroad. KLU was awarded the Erasmus University Charter of the European Union and participates in the ERASMUS+ program, which facilitates the exchange of students and staff in Europe.
Housing services
KLU does not offer on-campus housing but supports you in finding suitable accommodation. Students will be offered a limited number of fully-furnished rooms in the student dorm for the first semester starting in September. This is a good opportunity to get started in Hamburg. A very small number of rooms for the whole study period is also available. After having been accepted by KLU and after having signed the study agreement, you will be informed by Student Services how to apply.
Library services
The KLU Library will help and support you every step of the way doing your studies or research. We are always ready to help with any question you might have, just ask at the library desk or send us an e-mail.
At KLU all of the textbooks are available in the library for students use, therefore reducing the additional cost or stress of buying textbooks.
Medical services
Healthcare in Germany is mandatory for all students. KLU supports international students to find a suitable health care provider.
Campus life
KLU is based in the HafenCity (harbour city) – a modern and new district located near the city center. Our campus features bright, modern classrooms and advanced technology.
Our campus and lecture/study areas have views of the river Elbe. Students can enjoy our waterfront location while studying or out for lunch. A short walk along canals, or one stop on the train, and you will be in the city center.
Sports facilities
KLU has a small, but advanced gym on campus. Students can sign up for a monthly membership and will have 24-hour access to the facilities.
Student clubs
KLU offers a number of student clubs and organizations. Furthermore, students are always encouraged to start their own initiative, and leave a legacy while on campus.
The Foundation of International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) has accredited over 1,800 degree programs, but until now it has awarded the premium seal to only 16 universities – including Kühne Logistics University.
