
The University of Westminster’s Faculty of Science and Technology provides courses in a variety of disciplines and formats at a variety of levels, from undergraduate and postgraduate/research degrees to continuing professional development.
Subject areas
Research in the Faculty of Science and Technology encompasses a wide range of disciplines, drawn from the life sciences, electronics and computer science, and psychological sciences.
Our research is internationally recognised. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, the majority our research outputs were classed as Internationally Excellent (3*) or World Leading (4*). The same was true of the real-world impact arising from our work.
Our research is supported by major grants and awards from government departments, research councils, the European Union and industry, and benefits from strong national and international links with leading academic and commercial organisations.
The Faculty of Science and Technology has extensive, state of the art laboratories. These facilities will equip you with the technical know-how for your career. Our courses have a strong emphasis on developing and using your practical skills.
We have 34 specialist labs for teaching, research and student learning. These labs are equipped with over 700 desktops and four operating systems: Windows 7, Solaris, Linux and Mac OSX. Our computers contain a full suite of software, and we provide an online repository of additional programmes you may wish to download.
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, StudyPortals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
