Overview
Biomedical Science
The Biological Sciences - Biomedical Science program at Southern Illinois University includes all pre-health requirements specified by the College of Science Health Professions Information Office. Pre-professional students must register with the College of Science Pre-Health Professions Advisement Office.
The Health Professions Information Office (HPIO) provides guidance concerning requirements of and application procedures to the various schools. The office also compiles the preprofessional files of students who will be applying to medical (including osteopathic medical), podiatry, optometry and dental school and works with the Health Preprofessional Committee in recommending those applicants.
