About

During the Engineering Honours (Mechatronic) program at the University of Sydney, you will discover first hand the technology that underpins robotics and autonomous systems, automated manufacturing and intelligent microprocessor-based products. You will develop skills in digital electronics, microprocessors, computer control, and software design, complemented by a suite of professional skills in management and communications.

Throughout this four-year degree you will cover a range of fields, including mechanism and machine analysis and design, electrical circuit theory and electronics, digital electronics and computer systems, power electronics and electrical machines, systems modelling and simulation, and robotic systems. 

Core units will provide you with a foundational knowledge in mechatronics, before allowing you to specialise in elective units in your third and fourth years. A 12-week internship will provide you with invaluable industry experience and professional networking opportunities. In your fourth year an embedded honours thesis will allow you to further specialise by designing a research project in an area that interests you.
