Industrial Engineering & Management focuses on the substance, design, operation and management of production and service provision systems.

Overview

Such systems incorporate various aspects, such as the human resources, equipment, processes, data, information and materials required for the production of products or service provision. In addition, various economical and marketing aspects are emphasized.

Recently, a new lab for computer integrated manufacture (CIM) was opened. This lab is equipped with computerized manufacturing resources, such as robots and CNC machines, automatic conveying and storage systems, computerized vision systems, etc.

Studies at Shenkar College School of Industrial Engineering & Management last four years, during which the students acquire basic scientific tools (mathematics, physics, computerization, and statistics), knowledge in the various spheres of engineering and technology (machinery, electronics, computers, chemistry, and plastics), as well as the social sciences and management (organization, economy, marketing, and financing).

General requirements

Applicants for the engineering departments are required to a have a matriculation certificate and a psychometric score, as follows:

  • Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Management: a psychometric score of 620 or an average grade of 90 and above in external exams and in the final project in practical engineering studies, and a matriculation average of 85 (including bonuses).

  • Master's program in Plastics Engineering / Industrial & Management Engineering: average of 80 in undergraduate studies.
