
Overview
Political science is the study of government, public policy and the political behavior of individuals and groups. Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science program with an emphasis in International Relations graduate with a broad knowledge of the foundations, history and dynamics of politics in the U.S. and around the globe. Most importantly, they understand the unique relationships between the U.S. and other countries. Students take courses in political theory, foreign affairs, socio-political issues, and ideas and methods.
They're also encouraged to acquire a double major or a minor in a secondary language. Fieldwork includes opportunities to intern at nonprofit organizations and government agencies. The Political Science - International Relations Emphasis program is offered at The University of Arizona .

- Have a 3.00 recalculated grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school. Please note: GPA recalculation occurs during the admissions evaluation process.
- Have three years of high school work. Please note: If you are currently in high school, UA needs to see 9–11 grade work. If you have completed high school then UA needs to see 10–12 grade work.
- Have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
