Overview

Podiatrists are health professionals who deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. 

Your education and training will explore a variety of health sciences topics such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology and psychology, paediatrics, biomechanics, musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, pharmacology and surgery. You will also develop podiatry-specific skills, enabling you to graduate work-ready.

Practical learning experiences are integral to the course, and you will benefit from completing clinical placements at the newly established, purpose-built Allied Health Clinic at CQUniversity, as well as in a variety of external clinical settings, so you can put your learning into practice and gain real-life experience.

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 4 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
