Overview

The accounting aspect provides students with insight into accounting institutions (eg audit firms), accounting regulations and accounting techniques that are used by and support organisations that actively participate in and outside the financial market. The finance aspect explores financial institutions, financial trading, financial investment, financial regulations and structures that support the market. Students are kept abreast with current events through research-led teaching by academic experts in the field.

Outcome

This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) by way of exemptions from some professional examinations enabling students to fast-track their careers.
