Then the Circumpolar and Nordic Studies programme at Nord University may be the right choice for you.


About the Programme

The offer is in English and the first 90 compulsory credits are completed as online studies. The specialization semester (3rd semester) with a focus on the Nordic region and Norwegian conditions, is also offered as ordinary teaching at Nord University for those who wish. In addition to the compulsory courses, we also offer 90 credits with English-language electives, both online and campus-based, for those who want to take the entire degree at Nord University. However, it is also possible to incorporate studies from other universities both in Norway and abroad as electives.

Job opportunities

The Circumpolar and Nordic Studies programme at Nord University provides a very suitable professional background for social work and various administrative tasks where knowledge and insight into social conditions in the Circumpolar areas is required. High North studies are also well suited for teaching purposes and as additional education for teachers.
