Overview
The Business Management with Finance (Hons) course at the University of Huddersfield aims to give students a thorough grounding in finance and business, and give them lots of chances to see how the theory works in the real world.
To give you the chance to gain a better understanding of business and finance, the course covers key business topics. You’ll study financial and management accounting, corporate reporting and business ethics – all of which will give you the chance to understand how businesses can operate in a socially responsible and ethical way. And you can choose from a range of finance modules to build your specialist skills.
The course offers an optional one-year (48 weeks) work placement after the second year, in the UK or abroad. Our Placement Office works with national and international employers to ensure excellent work experience opportunities are available to you on placement courses as well as giving advice in areas such as interview skills and preparing CVs and covering letters.
Previous placement providers have Tax Assist, Thornton & Ross, Atkins, Seven Energy, Alco Valves, Fonebank and Redmayne Bentley Stockbrokers.
