Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business is a '2+2' program that combines core upper division undergraduate courses in agricultural business at California State University, Bakersfield, with lower division agricultural science and agricultural business foundation courses completed at a community college.

Learning outcomes

This degree enables students to enhance their foundation agricultural courses, completed at a community college, with upper division knowledge and skills so as to better prepare them for entry-level management positions in the agriculture and food sector.

Students learn the fundamentals of planning, organizing, marketing, financial management, and trade policy with an emphasis on California’s agriculture and natural resources.
