Marketing affects everyone’s lives, more than ever before, with digital media opening up new and exciting opportunities for reaching audiences. If you’d like to know more, this is your chance to explore marketing in-depth.
As with all of the students at Richmond, the American International University in London, you’ll have the advantage of being able to study one programme and gain two degrees, from the US and the UK, opening up more international career opportunities.
Not only that but once graduated, you’ll be eligible to receive a prestigious Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Certificate in Strategic Management & Leadership.
The programme encompasses all aspects of marketing – from market research and consumer behaviour to branding and advertising. Ecommerce and social media are explored in detail, with an examination of their increasingly vital role in the marketing mix. On top of all this, you’ll be provided with a solid foundation in general business and management knowledge with a specific focus on marketing, both as business strategy and a function.
There’s a broad spectrum of electives on offer in the third and fourth years. Choose from Game Theory and Decision Making, Media Ethics, Operations Management and Web Design. It’s an opportunity to specialise in an area that you find particularly interesting and could be invaluable when making a career choice.
You’ll be given the chance to work on live marketing briefs, so you’ll have a real grasp of how marketing works in practice. Guest speakers are invited to meet our BA Marketing students, sharing their expertise and tips on how to get ahead in the industry. Based in vibrant London, home to world leading marketing, advertising and communication companies, you’ll be ideally positioned to capitalise on internship opportunities.
The university offer career support and advice through the Careers & Internships Office that will assist and guide you in your study choices to make sure you stand out from the crowd when you graduate. Through internships you will gain business acumen, beneficial work experiences and transferable skills which will give you a competitive advantage in a fast-paced working environment. Work while you study across 5 continents through our partners Connect123 and CRCC Asia with destinations in Spain, Argentina, South Africa, China, Japan, Vietnam and Australia.
