About

You’ll apply what you learn in class to the real world of business through on-campus workshops, civic events in the community and team-based projects.

Besides the hours of real-world experience you’ll be adding to your resumé, you’ll earn your bachelor’s degree in only three years with no weekend, summer or evening courses required and still have plenty of time to participate in athletics and campus life. While others are still taking classes toward their degree, you can use your “fourth year” to pursue graduate studies or to start your career ahead of your peers.

The Degree in Three program makes sense financially as well. You’ll save a full year in tuition and room and board (over $40,000), and there’s the potential to be earning a full year’s salary after graduation while your peers are still in school.

See Yourself Succeed as an Economics/Finance Major

The accelerated BS in Economics/ Finance - Degree in Three Years at the Southern New Hampshire University has a dual mission: to examine the behavior of the economy and its relationship to business and government and to study the funding and investment needs of corporations, individuals and institutions.

The primary goal of the program is to establish a solid foundation in the applied and theoretical areas of international and domestic finance, business and economics. As an economics/finance major, you’ll develop the analytical and quantitative skills needed for corporate and individual financial management and economic modeling and forecasting.

As a private, nonprofit university, SNHU has one mission – to help you see yourself succeed. The benefits of being a three-year economics/finance major at SNHU include:

  • Supportive community. Join the SNHU campus community of fewer than 3,000 students, with faculty and staff dedicated to your success.
  • Affordability. SNHU is one of the most affordable private, nonprofit universities in New Hampshire, and students with a GPA of 2.5 and higher could receive up to $18,000 in grants and scholarships
  • Innovative programs. Save time and tuition with our three-year degree programs or study abroad at little or no extra cost.
  • Accessible faculty. Learn from highly credentialed faculty who are experts in their fields and interact with you in the classroom, dining hall, fitness center and the stands.
  • Opportunity. Tap into our nationwide network of alumni and strong connections with employers for internship and career opportunities.
  • Campus experience. Enjoy more than 50 student clubs, champion Division II athletics and fun events on our 300-acre campus in Manchester, NH, named a “Best Place to Live” by Money magazine.

Internships & Outcomes

The 3-year BS in Economics/Finance prepares graduates for employment in a variety of fields including banking, corporate finance, insurance, personal finance and securities. There are many in-demand careers available for those interested in finance and economics. For example, the Bureau of Labor Statistics notes employment of financial analysts is expected to grow 16% through 2022, faster than the average for all occupations, while employment of personal financial advisors is projected to grow 27% over the same period.
