BSc Psychology (BPS)

Psychology is a fascinating science. Why do people behave in the way they do? How do our minds work?

The key knowledge areas within psychology will all be covered in this BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS) degree offered at Arden University : research methods, biological psychology, cognitive psychology, individual differences, developmental psychology and social psychology. You will also gain knowledge of the history of psychological theory.

During this course students will explore social, developmental, biological, and cognitive psychology then discover research methods and develop statistical skills. All of these concepts will then allow students to create and carry out their own research project.

Students will become engaged with modern debates and theories of psychology to further develop their understanding of the broad scope of psychology. As students progress through the course they learn how to employ both quantitative and qualitative methods, and demonstrate an understanding of all of these subjects together.

Upon completing the course students will be prepared to go into the workforce, or continue their studies with a psychology master programme.

Arden’s undergraduate psychology programme is proudly accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). This online psychology degree course gives students eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) from the BPS, which is critical for pursuing a recognised psychology career. While studying with Arden, student membership with the BPS costs are covered.
