Features of the International Foundation in Humanities, Law and Social Science:

This 3 or 4-term International Foundation in Humanities, Law and Social Science programme at INTO The University of Exeter introduces students to liberal arts and social justice. They can also take modules in film and literary studies, English law and world politics and international relations. Alongside subject-specific modules, students will take English classes and complete a research project.

INTO class sizes are smaller than you’ll typically experience at university, so you'll have more one-on-one time with your teachers. You will have university-style lessons for subject-based modules to help you adapt to studying in the UK.

  • Completion of 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades.

English requirements:

  • Standard - 3 Terms: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.0 in writing and no less than 4.5 in all other subskills) or equivalent.
  • Extended - 4 Terms: IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 4.5 in all subskills) or equivalent.
