To this end, our students in the BA in Theater Arts program at Rutgers University have international opportunities which include a one-of-a-kind a residency for actors and designers at Shakespeare's Globe in London.

English Language Requirements

    The TOEFL iBT ® measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The test has four sections (reading, listening, speaking, and writing), each with a score range of 0-30, for a total score range of 0-120.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks.

  • Final official high school transcript showing all courses with final grades in grades 9-12:Transcripts must show a date of graduation; or
  • GED or equivalency diploma holders must submit test results or equivalent as well as transcripts from any high school attended
  • College transcripts if you took any college courses at a two- or four-year college
  • SAT or ACT scores (with writing) only if you graduated from high school less than two years ago and will not have at least 12 college credits completed by the application due date
