About Chemistry

A student who plans to major in the Chemistry program of Rutgers University may choose from among four options. The certificate program and the traditional chemistry programs prepare the student for graduate study in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or for employment as a professional chemist or biochemist. The Biochemistry program prepares students for graduate study in an allied health fields or for employment. The Chemistry-Business program prepares students for the non-laboratory aspects of the chemical profession. It also offers the academic prerequisites for pursuit of the Master of Business Administration degree. No matter which route you choose, the Chemistry program will put you on the right track.
