Overview
Oklahoma State University-OKC’s Surveying Technology program is a well-rounded, practical surveying education balancing theory and practical application. Graduates have a strong foundation, and the knowledge and skills to be productive surveyors when they enter the field.
Students are educated in the many facets of surveying including:
- surveying fundamentals
- geodesy
- photogrammetry
- remote sensing
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Global Positioning System (GPS)
- Computer-aided Design (CAD)
- least squares adjustments
- residential subdivision design
- route surveying
- legal principles focused on Public Land Survey System (PLSS)
With active support from the Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors, students have the opportunity to join OSU-OKC’s OSLS chapter and apply for one of the scholarships offered annually.

- College Transcripts: From any and all previously attended accredited colleges.
- High School Transcript: The high school transcript requirement is waived for any student with 24 or more college credit hours, or for any student 21 or older.
- Test Scores: If you have taken an ACT/SAT test during the last three years, those scores would be accepted to determine course placement.
- Applicants may be required to submit additional information.
