Overview

On this English Literature (Hons) degree course at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)  you’ll get to study some of the greatest works by the giants of English Literature – from Shakespeare to Dickens. Through our optional modules you’ll explore and enjoy the finest examples of literary craft in various genres from all over the world – everything from American literature to gothic, graphic novels, drama, theatre, children’s literature and fairy tales.

You’ll take an in-depth look at the relationship between literature, culture and society, and how writers through the ages have sought to interpret and represent the world around them.
