
Overview
During the first year Finance and Investment (Hons) course from Coventry University covers a range of subjects including fundamentals of finance, financial accounting, statistical analysis and mathematical techniques for finance, as well as numeracy and IT skills for further study in finance and investment. You will also have the opportunity to undertake the Regulatory Environment module, for a chance to work towards a professional qualification with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI), Regulatory Environment. This pathway to gaining the CISI Investment Advice Diploma is open to all Finance and Investment BSc (Hons) students, with the qualification subject to competitive application, availability, additional costs, successful completion, and requirements.

On successful completion, you should be well placed to pursue potential future career options with financial institutions, including investment advisory services; commercial banks; brokerage firms; insurance companies; and finance companies.
