About International Business at Arcada University of Applied Sciences

In the International Business programme from Arcada University of Applied Sciences, you will learn how to develop sustainable solutions for economic growth. Thanks to IT being an integrated part of your studies, you will gain unique skills in digital tools and systems, which give you a competitive edge on the job market. As you will spend several months on work placements at companies in Finland or abroad, you will apply your knowledge in practice. In addition to practical business knowledge, the programme offers you several different tracks for specialising.

At the end of your first year you will apply to one of our four specialisation modules, which will make you a top-level professional in one of the following fields:

1. Marketing

2. Logistics

3. Tourism and Experience Management

4. Financial Management

In case there are more applicants than places, selection of module will be based on your previous course grades in that subject.

Depending on your major you will learn: how to produce (digital) marketing material and campaigns, make logistical decisions throughout the supply chain, build and manage tourism services, or accounting and making fact-based financial decisions. In addition, you will develop competencies related to either human resources, data analysis or service development.

If you are curious and have a genuine interest in sustainable business or entrepreneurship, sufficient skills to study in English at an academic level, the ability to act in a multicultural environment, and good computer skills, then we highly encourage you to apply to this programme.

Living costs

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.

Funding

Scholarships are only awarded to bachelor students who have studied at least one academic year at Arcada. Students who have completed an average of 55 ECTS per academic year with a grade point average of 4.5 during their studies at Arcada can, upon request, be granted a scholarship corresponding to 40 percent of the tuition fee for the upcoming academic year.

The changes come into force on 1 January 2024 and affect students who start their studies in 2024 or later. Students who have started their studies in 2023 or earlier are not affected by these changes.
