Overview

In the BBA in Finance and Responsible Investment delivered by the Sustainability Management School (SUMAS), you will be exposed to real business operations through regular interaction with the business community and corporate world.

You will develop leadership and intercultural skills and be exposed to practical experience during experiential camps, field trips and visits to international organizations under the careful guidance of experts.

The teaching methodology is predominately interactive based on role-play activities and in-class discussions of cases and videos. You will work on business projects with leading executives in organizations and will be invited to company presentations and conferences. Online resources and electronic communication platforms are utilized to enable paperless classes.

Undergraduate students can choose to take an additional optional year to be guided into your career path and engage in an internship.

Specifically, at the end of the program students will be able to: 

  • Apply fundamental concepts of responsible management and sustainability 
  • Critically evaluate financial information to recommend and justify solutions based on principles of responsible investment 
  • Critically analyze various complex situations and find innovative solutions 
  • Effectively communicate the concepts and processes of management as well as sustainability to diverse audiences and across cultures 
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data necessary for success in the global business

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.5

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.5 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Students with final grades lower than IB 30 or GPA 2.5 can be accepted on probation depending on results per subject.

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

Our university welcomes applications from students who have successfully completed an International Baccalaureate with a minimum score of 30 or a High School Diploma or any secondary education at an accredited institution with a minimum GPA OF 2.5.

1st Prize

  • 30% Paid Tuition
  • Winners will be awarded a 30% scholarship on the full tuition fees of 33000 CHF  per year for our Bachelor of Business  Administration (BBA) in Sustainability Management or in Sustainable Tourism and Nature Conservation for all 3 academic years
2nd Prize
  • 20% Paid Tuition
  • Winners will be awarded a 20% scholarship on the full tuition fees of 33000 CHF  per year for our Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Sustainability Management or in Sustainable Tourism and Nature Conservation for all 3 academic years
