Overview

There is a growing demand for sporting events to provide an immersive experience and a lasting legacy. Organising such events means managing the expectations and experiences of a range of stakeholders, including athletes, spectators, sponsors and governing bodies.

It will incorporate all aspects of management, including creativity, administration, planning, co-ordination and evaluation of all types of sports events. In addition, the Sports Events Management (Hons)  course from Leeds Beckett University  will provide an in-depth awareness of the industry and an insight into the management of sporting venues and support services, specifically in terms of event operations.

Career

You will graduate with the skills, knowledge and confidence to be able to organise world class sporting events, whether working as an entrepreneur or as a decision maker for a large sports organisation. Major employment areas within the sector include sports venue management and sports sponsorship acquisition. You could also continue your studies at postgraduate level and further your research into the sports events industry.
