With a responsibility for protecting public health and upholding the maintenance of healthy environments, environmental health practitioners play an important role in society.

These solutions could involve enforcement, education or the issuing of advice while working in partnership with other agencies. You will be taught by environmental health practitioners experienced in key areas such as food safety and health and safety.

The real-life case studies you will explore will give you practical experience of the industry, boosting your employability so you can hit the ground running in your new job. Many of the graduates of the Environmental Health (Hons) course from Leeds Beckett University  go on to work in environmental health departments as enforcement officers or in the private sector working for organisations such as supermarkets or hotel chains.
