In this program of Pharmaceutical Science at Durham College, students will:

Work in state-of-the-art labs using industry grade equipment on real-world applications gaining in person, hands-on experience.
Learn and apply the guiding principles of the pharmaceutical industry including good lab, documentation, and manufacturing practices.
Learn the key processes used in the pharmaceutical industry to ensure the formulation and manufacture of high quality, safe pharmaceuticals.
Participate in a 280-hour placement at a pharmaceutical or related organization gain real-world experience.

Other requirements

General requirements

Diploma or degree in chemistry, life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy or a related field completed within the last five years.

A minimum of two courses must be in chemistry and one of these courses must have a lab component.

Proof of English language proficiency required.For candidates with a diploma or advanced diploma, five years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry or a related field is recommended.
