Overview

As well as our three-year course, you can choose one of our four-year options. Opt for either a built-in placement year or a year studying abroad. But whichever course you go for, you’re guaranteed CV-boosting opportunities. Placements, internships, real-life business projects, networking, mentoring, international summer schools… It’s all part of what we call Authentic Business Learning. This is our real-life, hands-on, hard-working approach to teaching.

By taking the Financial Management (Hons) course at University of Hull , you also get access to industry-standard facilities, like our Bloomberg Financial Markets Laboratory. Here, you practise trading in real time using databases like Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters EIKON, Orbis and FAME. Plus, there’s our Business Lounge. It’s a professional space to meet industry networks, like-minded entrepreneurs, and our corporate partners.

Like all Hull University Business School programmes, AACSB accredits our course. Fewer than 2% of business programmes worldwide hold this accreditation. You’ll open up a whole range of employment possibilities. Financial administrator, management accountant, auditor, stockbroker, portfolio manager, mortgage advisor... Or you could use the hands-on experience you gain throughout your degree to start your own business.

Throughout your course, you’ll have the chance to tap into our connections with global brands, like Bosch, BMW, Siemens, and Disney. Our recent graduates have found work with Citibank, Lloyds Banking Group, Fujitsu, Smith & Nephew, and the Civil Service.

Our industry-standard suite offers simulated financial trading activities in real time. So you can practise trading in realistic scenarios before you do it for real.

Our Executive Education Suite offers bookable, fully AV equipped rooms where you can work on group projects and practise your presentation skills.

• Allam Lecture Theatre

The Business School has one of the largest lecture theatres on campus. As well as a fantastic environment for learning, the theatre also often plays host to outside speakers and special guests.
