Overview
Today’s managers must deal with different national business practices, cultural changes and language needs. They also need to appreciate how business functions like finance, marketing, human resource management or logistics work across national borders.
By taking the International Business (Hons) course at University of Hull , we'll challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and help you develop the skills to consistently make good business decisions with these factors in mind, with modules on the world economy, cross-cultural management, emerging markets, and more.
You’ll also develop the hands-on experience that employers look for with our unique Authentic Business Learning (ABL) approach. Each year you’ll take part in live business projects and collaborations with real businesses. It’s our unique way of putting you – and your career – at the forefront of everything we do from day one.
And in your second year, you’ll have the opportunity to spend a trimester on a work-based internship or studying abroad at ESSEC, which is ranked in the world’s top 1% of business schools, learning from world-leading academics in some of Europe’s top industries.
Future prospects
Our graduates go on to successful careers at a variety of businesses such as IBM, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Red Bull, Handelsbanken and Rolls-Royce.
You’ll be supported in sourcing relevant placements and employer projects and you’ll also get access to our global alumni community, which can help you identify potential mentors and develop your professional networks.
