General requirements
- Completion of BC Grade 12 or equivalent, or be 19 years of age or older.
- One of the following:
- A minimum 65% in English First Peoples 12, English Studies 12, Literary Studies 12, or equivalent;
- A minimum "C-" grade in a university-level English or communications course for which Langara awards transfer credit;
- A minimum "C-" grade in ENGL 1120;
- An "S" grade in ENGL 1107, 1108, or 1110;
- LPI with a minimum essay score of 26 and one of the following: 5 or higher in English usage, 5 or higher in sentence structure, 10 or higher in reading comprehension;
- IELTS 6.5 overall score with no band less than 6.0;
- CAEL overall score of 70 and an essay score of 60; or
- TOEFL (internet based) with a total score of 90 or higher and a minimum of 22 in Listening, 22 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing.
