A three-term foundation year
Studying at the International Foundation Year programme of the Holland International Study Centre (ISC) for three terms, you will gain the English skills and grades you need for university.
Once you successfully complete your foundation year, and achieve the required academic grades, you can progress to your degree course.
Who is this course for?
If you want to study for an undergraduate degree in Holland, but don't meet the academic grades or English language requirements, or would like a more gentle and supportive start to your time in a new country, you can study the International Foundation Year first.
Programme Structure
- You can choose from two foundation subject routes depending on your degree ambitions: Business, Economics and Social Sciences and Science, Engineering and Computing.
- Each route teaches core academic modules, study skills, careers advice and specific modules related to your subject.

General requirements
The requirements you need to join the three-term International Foundation Year vary depending on the University you are looking to progress to.
Generally, you need:
- Good high school graduation grades or equivalent academic study (IGCSE/GCSE/O Level and IB Certificate are not accepted)
- To be aged 17 or older.
