Programme Structure

You’ll begin by using activities and problem-solving to take you through core topics in organisational behaviour and human resource management, focusing on your own work situations and practices. Then you’ll explore topics in marketing and finance. Finally, you’ll consolidate the key learning points, practise management techniques, and develop your ability to understand and tackle complex management problems.

Academic Requirements

  • There are no formal entry requirements to study this certificate. However, this is an OU level 3 certificate. You should ensure that you have adequate study skills, such as those gained from OU level 1 and 2 study or equivalent, before you begin.
  • You need not be currently employed as a manager – however, we strongly recommend that you have some knowledge and experience of managing, supervising or team leading in an organisation. It is not possible to study this certificate without any work experience.
