Overview
The Geography (Honours) BA programme from Newcastle University explores key societal, economic and environmental challenges and encourages you to engage with, explore and understand the world.
This flexible degree spans the breadth of the discipline. You don’t need to decide between human and physical geography and can tailor your degree to your interests. This enables you to become a specialist in your chosen field, or remain active across the Geographic terrain.
You can select from over 50 Geography modules from across our three-year degree course. These range from Cities of the Global South to Glacial Environments, and from Global Water Resources to Geopolitics.
You will join a community of geographic researchers whose research has been funded by:
- Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)

- Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
- Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)
