Overview
Learners will demonstrate content mastery and critical soft skills needed to work and lead in the field of Human Services. Graduates can work in professions that address the needs of at-risk populations throughout the life span. Employment opportunities include positions such as social and community service managers, child and family services, drug and alcohol counselors, training specialists, medical and health service managers, as well as many other opportunities.The Human Services (Online) major at Rockford University will also prepare graduates to pursue an advanced degree should they choose to continue beyond the bachelor’s degree. The Human Services major will prepare learners to succeed in advanced degree programs required to attain credentials needed to become Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors in the fields of mental health, addiction, marriage and family therapy, social workers as well as related fields.
