Overview
Our Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (Online) program at New England College helps you focus your interests in the field and integrates your intellectual interest and experience, small-group dialogue, and interaction with theoreticians and practitioners in the field. At the heart of this degree program is the value of the experience: the opportunity to network and to apply knowledge developed through the online classroom.
What You’ll Learn
You will gain an understanding of the intellectual foundations for key homeland security discussions and how those decisions affect and are effected by the political process. You will develop analytical research skills and will be prepared to enter or continue careers in the public, private, and non-profit homeland security and emergency preparedness fields.Students who have at least a 3.0 GPA and wish to pursue a Master of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MAHSEP) after completing the undergraduate program can enroll in up to three of the graduate MAHSEP courses. These courses can be used toward both the undergraduate degree and meet requirements for the graduate degree. Students interested in pursuing this option should contact the Program Director for approval.Programme Structure
